Many people talk about things that they would do differently if they had a “do over.” That’s been crossing my mind a bit lately as I face an empty nest in another 15 months or so. After 22 years of homeschooling, I’m starting to gain some perspective…and although I don’t really have big regrets, there is one area that I would handle a bit differently.
Making time to take care of myself.
Making Mommy Margin!
In today’s podcast, Danielle and I are talking about the importance of taking care of ourselves so that we can take care of our family.
In this podcast we are talking about:
- 1. Determining your true priorities starting with yourself.
- 2. Taking a week and record the way you spend your time.
- 3. Evaluating whether or not your priorities match up with the way you spend your time.
- 4. Listing just 2 areas under each priority in which you would like to focus.
- 5. Writing what you can do on a daily/weekly basis to meet those goals
- 6. Carving out blocks of time for those priorities….ESPECIALLY YOURSELF!
